About this event

Avoiding Academia is a workshop curated for those currently enrolled or involved in university life in some capacity, or with history of having been so, who seek to have more spiritual context and tools for surviving academia and coming out unscathed before it’s too late. This is a Black-only workshop. All are encouraged to do the following, but if you reside on a university campus and are seeking to attend, please especially do any protection work you need to for yourself and your space/wherever you'll be prior to joining the event. This workshop will be recorded and added to the UDT Spirit Shop for those who missed it or wish to work with it at their own pace. If you have any concerns or questions about this, please contact us immediately.

  • The burning breath of Institutions

  • Transition into the Next World

  • Grounds and environments of colleges and universities

  • Spiritual assault and Disability

  • How does the West initiate?

  • Spiritual aspects to university housing and enrollment

  • Hoodoo-specific tools and strategy-building

  • Prayer-creation
