“The event is being hosted by Coalition for Ancestral Indigenous Mental Health Approaches, formerly Indigenous Mental Health Awareness Network International (IMHANI).

Black/African people are the oldest peoples on earth and thus the first Indigenous peoples to exist. But global anti-Blackness works to disrupt Black Indigeneity. It is time for us as Black people to lovingly reconnect with and reclaim our Indigeneity and the wisdom it provides. We have so many depthful variations of Blackness as Black people and also many shared roots and commonalities to explore that transcend time and space. Our ancestors are calling, calling us to come together, calling us to heal from psycho-spiritual warfare and from anti-Blackness which we face not only from White folks but non-Black poc . We have Black Americans, a Black Latinx Caribbean person, and continental Africans presented.

[WORKSHOP] Spirit Work Is Your Work

Let us assist you in working with your spirits, in a way that specifically benefits Blackness and its People.

About this event

Spirit Work is Your Work assists you in working with your spirits in a way that specifically benefits Blackness and its People. This is the fresh start that allows a push into re-aligning certain lineages and beginning to understand spiritual warfare on a larger and anti-colonial scale. The focus here is the Spirit of Blackness, interactively deconstructing religious traumas, various case studies, and finding our place in the middle of war.

Topics ceremoniously covered:

  • Deconstructing religious traumas

  • Understanding spiritual warfare on a larger and anti-colonial scale

  • Reclaiming indigenous politics as opposed to depoliticizing indigenous spiritual systems

  • Case studies throughout history of utilizing spiritual systems to get free, as well as operating healthier environments

  • Working with your spirits with greater intention, specifically re-aligning all to Blackness and particular Black MaGe (marginalized gender) leaderships

Most UDT events are Black-only, please note that this workshop was originally curated for audiences of both Black people and non-Black beings, and is open in that way for this event, too. No anti-Blackness of the space is to be tolerated.

For Black people to attend, the cost is $30

For non-Black people to attend, the price is $50.

This is held through Zoom, and might be e recorded. If you are Black and have any concerns or questions, please do reach out.
